How to play Entries
Entries is a free Wikipedia-powered knowledge game set inside the Unwritten Keep. Choose a door, answer the knowledge seal behind it, and turn every correct answer into a new path through the archive.
The basic loop
- Enter a chamber and choose one of its painted doors.
- Answer the Wikipedia-sourced question on the knowledge seal.
- A correct answer opens that door permanently and adds lore to your score.
- Explore the next room, examine its objects, and keep charting the 100-room castle.
Every question cites a Wikipedia article. Opening the research drawer is part of the game, not cheating: Entries is built to reward curiosity as much as recall.
Matches, mistakes, and recovery
You begin Classic with five matches. A wrong answer extinguishes one and replaces the question with an easier seal. Every fourth opened seal relights a match, so a careful run can recover. Losing the fifth match ends the current quest, while your best score remains on the score card.
You may also burn a match voluntarily to reveal the route you have already walked.
